The DOD 401 Phasor is a compact phaser pedal that generates a sweeping, filter-like modulation by shifting the phase of the incoming signal and mixing it back with the dry signal. Its Rate control sets the speed of the sweep, from slow, subtle undulations to faster, more pronounced cycles. The Depth control adjusts the intensity of the phase shift, determining how strongly the notched frequencies move. A single footswitch engages or bypasses the effect, and the pedal operates on a standard 9V battery or an optional power supply. The 401 uses a classic analog circuit with a simple, straightforward control layout, making it easy to dial in a range of phasing textures from gentle movement to deep, swirling tones.
