The DOD 401B Phasor is a compact phaser pedal that uses a four-stage phase-shift circuit to create a sweeping, filter-like movement in the sound. Its Rate control sets the speed of the sweeping effect, from slow, subtle undulations to fast, wobbly cycles. The Depth control adjusts the intensity of the phase shift, determining how pronounced the sweeping peaks and troughs are in the signal. A single footswitch engages or bypasses the effect, and the pedal operates on a standard 9-volt battery or an optional power supply. The 401B features a straightforward control layout with two knobs, making it easy to dial in a range of phaser textures, from gentle swirls to more dramatic, jet-like sweeps.
