The velocity sensitive pads allow you to control volume and nuance for expressive rhythmic perfomances. This drum machine also has a positial pad which allows you to change the tone of the instrument by hitting the pad in different places. Also has digital effects (reverb, delay, chorus, flanger), the ability to store up to 100 different rhythm patters and 20 songs in the internal memory (more with a memory card).
