Maxon Multimode Delay DM-01

The Maxon DM-01 Multimode Delay combines a delay line with a multimode filter that shapes the repeated signal. Its delay time control sets the spacing between repeats, while the feedback control determines how many times the delayed signal recirculates, with higher settings producing longer, denser trails. The multimode filter offers selectable filter types, such as low-pass, high-pass, or band-pass, which alter the tone of each repeat; for instance, a low-pass setting darkens the echoes by rolling off high frequencies, while a high-pass setting thins them by removing lows. A mix or level control balances the dry input signal with the effected delay output, allowing the delayed sound to sit underneath or dominate the original. The pedal operates in mono, with an input and output for standard guitar or line-level signals, and is powered by a standard 9-volt DC supply. Its compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure houses the controls and a bypass switch for engaging or muting the effect.
