Ibanez Delay HD-1500

Ibanez Delay HD-1500

The Ibanez HD-1500 is a rackmount delay unit that offers a range of delay times and modulation options. Its primary controls include Delay Time, which sets the spacing between repeats, and Feedback, which determines how many times the delayed signal repeats before fading out. The Mix control blends the dry signal with the delayed effect, allowing for subtle or pronounced delay textures. It features multiple delay modes, such as analog, digital, and tape emulation, each altering the character of the repeats—analog mode adds warmth and slight degradation, digital mode provides pristine clarity, and tape mode introduces saturation and wow-and-flutter. The HD-1500 also includes a modulation section with Rate and Depth controls, which add pitch variation to the repeats for a chorus-like or warbling effect. An effects loop allows external processors to be inserted into the delay path, and the unit supports both mono and stereo operation, with separate outputs for left and right channels. Bypass switching ensures the dry signal remains unaffected when the delay is disengaged.
