The Honda Sound Works Fab Drive is an overdrive pedal whose gain structure is shaped by a three-band EQ section, allowing the user to tailor the drive tone beyond a single tone knob. Its drive control sets the amount of distortion, from a mild breakup to a more saturated overdrive, while the level control adjusts the output volume to match or boost the bypassed signal. The EQ bands independently cut or boost low, mid, and high frequencies, which changes the character of the overdriven sound—for example, boosting the mids can push the pedal forward in a mix, while cutting highs can soften the edge. The pedal operates with a standard 9V DC power supply and features a true bypass footswitch to preserve the clean signal when disengaged.
