The Crank Squawk-A-Doodle, or SQD, uses a speaker and a 9-volt battery to emit tones like a broken down noise generator. There are two bare wires that, when touched together, discharges the battery. The speaker amplifies this in forms of squawks and bleeps. Interesting sounds can be made by getting one of the wire to vibrate by the speaker and touching the other wire to it. Be careful as the SQD produces harsh tones so start at a low volume. This is steampunk / lo-tech at it's finest. It takes a little time to master but once you figure it out... oodles of squawk-a-doodle and happy noises. Run the output to other effect pedals for a maximum sonic crapfest.
