The Boss MA-1 Mascot Amplifier is a compact pedal-format amplifier simulator designed for guitar. It provides a modeled amplifier tone with controls for Gain, Tone, and Level, allowing adjustment of distortion amount, high-frequency filtering, and output volume. The pedal includes a three-band EQ section with Bass, Middle, and Treble knobs for further tonal shaping. A switchable speaker simulation circuit emulates the response of a guitar cabinet, and the pedal can operate in mono via its input and output jacks.
