The Boss RV-2 Digital Reverb is a compact stompbox pedal that provides digital reverb effects for electric guitar. Its controls include Mode, Tone, and Level. The Mode selector chooses among several reverb types, such as room, hall, plate, and a gated reverb, each altering the character and decay of the reverberant sound. The Tone knob adjusts the brightness or darkness of the reverb tail, filtering high frequencies to shape the overall texture. The Level control sets the mix of the dry input signal and the effected reverb output, allowing for subtle ambience or a pronounced wash. The pedal features a mono input and output, and it can be powered by a standard 9-volt battery or an optional AC adapter. When engaged, it replaces the dry signal with the processed reverb, and when bypassed, the original signal passes through unaffected.
