The Pearl PH-03 Phaser is a compact pedal that generates a sweeping, filter-like modulation effect. Its Rate control determines the speed of the phase-shift sweep, while Depth adjusts the intensity of the effect, from a subtle movement to a pronounced, watery swirl. A Resonance or Feedback control (often labeled as such on similar Pearl phasers) emphasizes the notches in the frequency response, making the sweep more pronounced and vocal-like. The pedal features a true bypass footswitch to preserve the dry signal when the effect is disengaged. It operates on a standard 9V DC power supply, with a red LED indicator showing when the effect is active. The PH-03 is housed in a sturdy metal chassis, designed for pedalboard use, and its straightforward control layout allows for quick adjustments of the phasing character.
