Maxon Delay DD-02

Maxon Delay DD-02

The Maxon DD-02 Delay is an analog delay pedal that uses a bucket-brigade device (BBD) chip to produce its echo effect. Its Delay Time control sets the spacing between the original signal and its repeats, ranging from short slapback to longer, more spacious echoes. The Feedback control determines how many times the delayed signal repeats, with higher settings creating cascading, self-oscillating trails. The Mix control blends the dry, unaffected signal with the delayed effect, allowing for subtle doubling or pronounced, wet delays. The pedal features a single mono input and output, and it is powered by a standard 9V DC adapter or a battery. Its analog circuitry imparts a warm, slightly dark character to the repeats, which is a hallmark of BBD-based delays.
