Ibanez Standard Fuzz

Ibanez Standard Fuzz

The Ibanez Standard Fuzz is a fuzz pedal that produces a heavily saturated, distorted tone by clipping the guitar signal through its transistor-based circuit. Its primary control is a single Fuzz knob, which adjusts the amount of gain and saturation applied to the input signal. Turning the knob clockwise increases the fuzz intensity, resulting in a thicker, more compressed sound with sustained notes and a gated, sputtering character at extreme settings. The pedal also features a Tone control that shapes the high-frequency content, allowing the user to roll off treble for a darker, rounder fuzz or boost it for a brighter, more cutting edge. A Volume knob sets the overall output level, which can be used to boost or cut the signal relative to the bypassed guitar sound. The pedal is housed in a compact, durable metal enclosure with a standard 1/4-inch input and output jack, and it is powered by a 9-volt battery or an optional DC power supply. When engaged, the effect replaces the dry signal entirely with the fuzzed tone, and when bypassed, the guitar signal passes through unaffected.
